Yoga and Sound Healing in Pittsburgh
Micaela Meinert, RYT
Let’s practice together!
Sound healing uses vibrations from instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, or chimes to support relaxation and nervous system regulation. Research in neuroscience suggests that vibrational frequencies can encourage the brain to shift into slower brainwave states (such as alpha and theta), which are associated with relaxation, meditation, and creativity.
Benefits include reduced stress, lower heart rate, and activate the body’s parasympathetic “rest and restore” response, supporting overall mental and physical well-being.
Yin Yoga ~ A slow, meditative practice where poses are held for several minutes to deeply stretch the body’s connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, joints). Lean into stillness and connect with the breath.
Restorative Yoga ~ A deeply relaxing practice that uses props to fully support the body in passive poses, allowing the nervous system to rest and restore.
Hatha Yoga ~ A traditional branch of yoga that focuses on physical postures (asana), breath control (pranayama), alignment, and engagement.

Events
I’d love to collaborate with other wellness providers in the Pittsburgh area! Yoga and fitness studios, spas, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and businesses looking to offer yoga and sound healing services to their clients or employees.
I host events that weave together yoga, sound healing, aromatherapy with essential oils, and other restorative practices. Each event is designed to create a calming, sensory experience that supports relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.
